Major League Soccer confirmed Wednesday that the Toronto FC manager had been fined for his comments on referee Ted Unkel following Torontos 2-1 home loss to Sporting Kansas City on July 26. Torontos list of complaints included a no-call in the 23rd minute when Unkel waved play on after Kansas City defender Aurelien Collin, chasing Brazilian striker Gilberto, appeared to clip the Brazilians leg. Gilberto, who had a clear path on goal, went down with Toronto expecting a red card for Collin. Instead the French defender went unpunished. "Collin should have been sent off.
